 | (for English please scroll down) Ik teken omdat het me verbindt - met de wereld, met anderen, en met mezelf. Ik ga tegenwoordig regelmatig naar buiten om te tekenen (en plein air), met name in de natuur. Daar vind ik rust, maar ook onverwachte ontmoetingen. Mensen stoppen, kijken even mee en delen soms iets persoonlijks of vertellen over hun eigen creatieve dromen. Ik vind het leuk om daar dan even over te sparren en de ander eventueel aan te moedigen- want ik geloof dat creativiteit voor iedereen is. En natuurlijk kom ik ook regelmatig dieren tegen en dat vind ik prachtig. Voor mij is tekenen niet alleen een doel op zich, maar ook een manier om aandachtig te leven. En hoewel ik mijn tekeningen graag deel met anderen (online en offline), zit de echte waarde voor mij in wat er onderweg gebeurt. Met mijn werk hoop ik iets van rust en verbondenheid door te geven. That’s where I find peace, but also unexpected encounters. People stop by, watch for a moment, and sometimes share something personal or tell me about their own creative dreams. I love having these little chats and I like to encourage others – because I believe creativity belongs to everyone. I also regularly encounter (wild) animals – and I find that absolutely wonderful. For me, drawing is not just a goal in itself, but a way of living with attention and intention. And while I enjoy sharing my drawings with others (both online and offline), the real value lies in what happens along the way. Right now, my main subjects are landscapes, animals, and the natural beauty of the Veluwe (the Netherlands) and its surroundings. I draw inspiration from artists like John Singer Sargent, Vincent van Gogh, Rien Poortvliet, and the Hague School. With my work, I hope to pass on a sense of calm and connection.
